State Street Shines

All the businesses on State Street are preparing for the Fall.  Even though we still have the beautiful flowers that hang down almost to the street, we can smell the cider brewing and changes happening.

Daily, we hose down our sidewalks, sweep our doorsteps and feel proud to be part of the downtown.  Green grass surrounds our trees which add clean charm to the street.  Yes, it IS real grass!

At the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery, there are artists stopping into the gallery during the month and painting.  The finished painting will be offered for sale with proceeds helping "Artists in need", a program that has been ongoing for 8 years.  Stop by to see the progress!

Speaking of artists...upstairs next to the Unique Arch is a group of working artists who love opening their studios for visitors.  Julie and Jamie teach classes to budding artists and love showing off her beautiful work.  Have a free afternoon?  Come on down to see them.

Merchants care about their storefronts and one great example is the NW Comic Gallery.  Angelina and Donald had Robin (who works at Cooke Stationery) paint Batman on their storefront.  Robin IS amazing and has created many images for comics and magazines.  She is our "hidden secret" on State Street and we are proud to have her talents exposed by NW Comic Gallery.

Pow!  and Wow.

At the Arbor they say..."We "heart" Mr. Darcy!
Be sure and stop in to ask about their new heart throb!

Last but not least, art is exploding in the windows along our street.  Here is the window to Sugar.Sugar., Halloween pumpkins!  Be sure and stop into this enchanting store, candy, cupcakes and so much more to see.  You'll want one of EVERYTHING!
